Ramsdens has opened a branch in the heart of Newcastle catering for our more northern customer base. This branch is the furthest north Ramsdens has ventured after Felling.

Operations Director Peter Kenyon comments "We knew from extensive research that Ramsdens has a customer base this far north, we have been actively looking for the appropriate opportunity to arise. Hopefully this branch will be one of many north of the Tyne."

This branch is the first to be branded 'Ramsdens 4 Cash' and initial indications show the brand has been waarmly received by the people of the North.

Managing Director Stewart Smith believes "it was time to bring Ramsdens into the 21st Century. The new branding is simple and modern, it tells the customer exactly why we are here: for cash. The old brand has become irrelevant almost, we are more than a jewellers anda pawnbroker, we cash cheques, give loans until pay day, and we buy in gold jewellery amongst other services, so the old brand was too limited for us."

The Newcastle branch also created three full time jobs for the area.
