Which cash loan is best for you?

Choosing the most suitable cash loan option can seem daunting, with so many different lenders and types of loans available.

To help you make the decision of which type of loan is most suitable for you and your needs, we will outline what a cash loan is, how cash loans work including an overview of the different types of cash loans available to you at Ramsdens.

What is a cash loan?

A cash loan is a cash advance which can either be paid directly into your bank account or given to you in person in the form of a physical cash lump sum.

The types of loans available from Ramsdens are short term loans secured on items of gold, silver, diamond jewellery, luxury watches and selected electronics. You can choose a Logbook Loan whereby a loan is secured against your vehicle* and you can keep driving it as usual.

If you don't have an items to secure a loan against, you can opt for an unsecured loan, where you apply for a loan online**.

How do cash loans work?

Depending on whether you choose a secured or unsecured loan, will determine how your cash loan will work:

How secured loans work

You will have an item such as gold, silver or diamond jewellery, luxury watches (a Pawnbroking Loan), selected electronic items (a Buy Back) or a vehicle* (a Logbook Loan). The amount of the loan you are eligible for is completely dependent on the item provided as security. When handing over your goods for a Pawnbroking Loan or Buy Back, Ramsdens will always keep your item(s) safe and secure until your loan is repaid. Your items will be returned to you once your loan is repaid.

How unsecured loans work

You will choose an amount of cash that you would like to borrow and a term which you wish to pay the loan (plus any interest and/or fees where applicable) back. If your loan application is successful you will receive a loan amount into your bank account and a repayment schedule will also be set up for you.
