1. How is the cashplus prepaid MasterCard different from a credit card?
When you use your cashplus card, you are spending money you have already loaded into your cashplus account, meaning all your purchases are prepaid. When you use a debit card, you are using money linked to a bank account and when you use a credit card you buy now and pay later. With cashplus you only spend the money you have so there are no bills, no late payment fees and no nasty surprises.

2. Where can I use my cashplus?
You can use your card at 25 million retail outlets and over one million ATM locations worldwide, wherever the MasterCard® brand mark is displayed.

3. Is my cash secure?
Yes. Your cashplus prepaid MasterCard is Chip and PIN protected for added security. You will receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which you use with your cashplus card to get cash from any ATM displaying the MasterCard brand mark or use it at merchants . For your peace of mind, your money is held safely at Broadcastle Bank. If you lose your card, your card, funds and PIN will be replaced in accordance with the terms and conditions.

4. Can I get a cashplus prepaid MasterCard if I have been made bankrupt or have any County Court Judgements?
Yes - there's no credit check required for a cashplus prepaid MasterCard.

5. How much does the cashplus prepaid MasterCard cost?
There is an issue fee of up to £9.95. Other card usage fees apply and these are clearly detailed in the Fee Summary section of your cashplus prepaid MasterCard terms and conditions.

6. Can I use my cashplus prepaid MasterCard straight away?
Yes. Once your card is activated and loaded with money you can use it to pay for whatever you want, wherever you see the MasterCard brand mark.

7. How do I reload my account?
Go to your local Ramsdens store or Post Office® branch in the UK. You can reload your account with a minimum of £10 and up to £5000 per day but no more than 5 loads a day, Max balance on the card is £15,000 . Reloads at the Post Office® are limited to £999 per transaction and you will need your reload card.

8. Can I put cash on my card at Ramsdens?
Yes, up to your maximum account balance of £15,000.

9. If I cash a cheque or pawn my jewellery can I put the funds straight onto my card?
Yes. the balance owed to you will be put on your card.

10. Does it cost me to put funds on my card?
No this is absolutely free.

11. Can I get cash from an ATM machine?
Yes. You can get cash from any cash machine that displays the MasterCard brand mark, up to the amount that's on your card or up to a limit of £500 per day. Please see below for more information about the cash limit you can withdraw from your account. There is a withdrawal fee of £2 per UK transaction (selected ATM owners may charge additional fees).

12. Can I use my cashplus prepaid MasterCard to get cash from a bank?
Yes. If there are sufficient funds in your account, you can use your cashplus prepaid MasterCard to get cash over the counter at a bank, subject to a fee of £3 per transaction. Most high street banks will perform this service for you. A daily withdrawal limit applies - please see below

13. Can I use my card for everyday purchases?
Yes. You can use your cashplus prepaid MasterCard at 25 million merchants globally to pay for almost anything, as long as you have sufficient funds in your account. You can use your card online, by phone and in store, for everyday purchases such as: groceries, petrol, paying bills, booking travel and even topping up your mobile phone.

14. Can I use my card for online shopping?
Yes. You can use your cashplus prepaid MasterCard to purchase goods and services online. Your cashplus prepaid MasterCard is the most accepted prepaid card on the market in the UK, for online purchases.

15. Can I use my cashplus prepaid MasterCard abroad?
Yes. Your cashplus prepaid MasterCard is welcome wherever the MasterCard logo is displayed, at more than 25 million retail outlets globally. You can also use your card to get cash at cash machines all over the world. There is a £3 withdrawal fee per transaction, and 2.75% foreign transaction fee and selected ATM owners may charge additional fees.

16. How can I check my balance and transactions?
You can check your balance online on the cardholders' Members Area to view your account details. You can also check your balance and last 5 transactions at any time by phoning an automated interactive service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0871 277 5599 (calls will be charged at 10p per min from a BT landlines and may be recorded). Or by Text -To have your latest card information sent to your mobile phone just text the following requests to 07797 800 601. Each text costs your usual network tariff plus 25p which will be charged to your mobile phone.

BALANCE - to get your balance details.
LASTTRANS - to get up to your latest 5 transactions.
STATUS - to check up on the status of your application.

Please note that if you have more than one card account with the same mobile phone number, you will have to contact our Customer Services team.

17. Will I have to pay any interest?
No. There is no interest to pay and no late payment fees on your cashplus prepaid MasterCard.

18. How do I get additional cards for my family?
It's easy. You can request secondary cards on your existing account for use by additional cardholders, aged 13 and over for just £9.95 per additional card. If you have an activeplus account no additional monthly fees will be charged for secondary/additional cards.
