What is a Travel Card?

A Travel Card is a prepaid card that allows you to preload your travel budget for safe and convenient use at millions of ATMs, as well as shops and restaurants wherever the Mastercard Acceptance Mark is displayed.

The Ramsdens Travel Card is available in Euros and US Dollars and can be purchased online for collection in branch. Buy your Travel Card here - simply select 'Travel Card' as your preferred option then choose either Euros or US Dollars.

How does your Travel Card work?

1. Top up your card

Topping up your Ramsdens Travel Card is easy - simply transfer funds from your debit card directly onto your travel card.

No matter where you are in the world, you can login to your Travel Card account to top up and view your balance.

2. Spend

Once you have topped up your Travel Card, you can use it for a safe* and convenient way to spend money abroad.

Remember, you can use your Travel Card at millions of ATM's worldwide, as well as shops and restaurants wherever the Mastercard Acceptance Mark is displayed.

Travel Card Tips

1. Retrieving your PIN

In order to retrieve your travel card PIN you will need to call:

2. Topping up your card online

In order to top up your card online, you will need to create an online account and then click on 'Top up my card' in order to link your card to your account.

3. Leftover currency after your trip

Don't worry if you have any leftover currency on your travel card once you return from your holiday. You can simply leave any leftover funds on your card for your next trip, or use your card for purchases in the UK. (Please note: a cross currency charge will be applied when a transaction is performed in a different currency from the card - check our Fee Summary table for full details). Alternatively, you can withdraw any remaining funds from your Travel Card at an ATM or in any Ramsdens branch nationwide.

* The Ramsdens Mastercard Prepaid Card is an electronic money product and although it is a product regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, it is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. No other compensation scheme exists to cover losses claimed in connection with the Prepaid Card. This means that in the event that PayrNet Limited becomes insolvent your funds may become valueless and unusable and as a result you may lose your money
